Delays and Kicking Walls

As with pretty much anything that has ever been attempted at The Bruery, the store is being delayed due to unforeseeable and unavoidable incidents. What we thought was a 100% health code approved structure actually has some issues with it. Primarily, one of the prep sinks is in the wrong area and the bathroom has some ADA access issues.

Of course we want each and every person to be able to come in and enjoy our products, so we're somewhat glad to have found out about the ADA (wheelchair accessibility) issues, but this is also going to set us back about a month and of course won't come cheap either. This may be a bit of a blessing in disguise since it is putting us in a position to remodel a few things that we wouldn't have otherwise wanted to spend time and money remodeling and takes a little bit of stress off of us rushing to open before Labor Day weekend. Now we're hoping for mid september.

This is beginning to feel a lot like first years's worth of The Bruery's "origins of a brewery" blog when the date of the first release just kept getting pushed back further and further, but that story seems to have turned out well in the long run, so hopefully its the same for The Bruery Provisions.
